Driving from SJC to Santa Cruz
Most people take Highway 17 to get to Santa Cruz from San Jose. This road can become clogged, especially during peak weekend times. Google Maps can be misleading! We usually recommend to estimate 1.5 hours of drive time, just to be safe. If traffic is light, you may make it in as little as 45 minutes.
